I’m from Chicago and I don’t play about my food. The bone in fried chicken drizzled with sriracha honey was AMAZING!! The flavor was great!! Nice and crunchy from the outside, nice and tender from the inside. The mash potatoes and Mac n cheese were also great! I would definitely make the 3 hour drive here again.

My husband and I ate at Tupelo Honey for the second time on Saturday, July 18. The atmosphere and the staff are warm and welcoming. Our server, Ryan, was incredibly attentive and personable. We started out with the biscuits for a cause and the famous fried green tomatoes. We enjoyed both of these dishes. The blueberry compote that came with the biscuits is delicious and you can buy jars of it. My husband then had the bourbon peppercorn glazed meatloaf and I had the honey-dusted fried chicken. Both of these entrees were tasty—the only recommendation we would give them is to find a better way to present the mashed potatoes. They were quite thin, almost soupy, and would have been more appealing if served in a bowl rather than sprawled out across the entire plate. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and were grateful for the kind and attentive service that Ryan gave us.

I stopped in for a solo meal during a quiet afternoon and had a wonderful experience at Tupelo Honey! The service was great—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming even during a slower period. I went with the fried chicken and boy was it delicious! It was packed with flavor, perfectly juicy, and had just the right amount of spice. The young lady who helped me suggested one of their most popular sides, the mac and cheese, and it absolutely lived up to the hype—the creaminess was unmatched! To balance things out (lol), I added a side of Brussels sprouts, which were also excellent. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and comforting—exactly what I was craving. Next time I’m back in Grand Rapids for a work trip, Tupelo Honey will definitely be on my list so I can try more of the menu. Thanks for a fantastic meal and a great experience! Highly recommend. 🍗

I had my first visit to Tupelo Honey today, and it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by two friendly hostesses who quickly escorted me to my table, making me feel welcome right away. The food was phenomenal! I ordered the Farm Breakfast, and every bite was delicious. The quality, flavor, and presentation were outstanding. What truly made my experience unforgettable, though, was my server, Ziraje. She was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. She gave me plenty of time to decide, offered excellent recommendations, and made me feel completely at home. Her warm personality and genuine hospitality made it feel like I was enjoying breakfast with family—something that’s becoming increasingly rare in today’s service industry. If you’re ever in Grand Rapids, Michigan, do yourself a favor and stop by Tupelo Honey. Between the amazing food and exceptional service, it’s an experience you won’t regret. I’ll definitely be back!

Nice downtown location. I had the fried chicken and I found their least spicy breading to still have a good deal of kick. If you don't like spicy food I would not recommend this place, at least not the fried chicken which they're known for. My wife had the chicken tenders with the same breading and she also found it too spicy. I generally don't mind a little bit of kick, I just was not overly enamored with how they did it. As a comparison, I've had Gus's famous fried chicken in Memphis Tennessee and it was much better and the spiciness was just right. Service was good, and the atmosphere is fine.
